Throughout this program, I have felt overwhelmed and struggled to get started.  I didn’t have time to even get overwhelmed with these two courses. I continue to find more confidence in myself as a teacher and leader.  My peer group has gotten much stronger, making it that much easier to share my “raw” work with them for feedforward.  I was able to share some of my work early in these courses due to summer travel.  The usability of my material is important to me, and getting feedforward from peers, teammates, and former teammates is the biggest part of the development process.    I enjoy working with my group and collaborating through text messaging, WhatsApp, and Facebook messenger.  WhatsApp consists of a tighter group taking the same classes with the same blended learning focus.   We had found our rhythm during the school year and struggled this summer to connect simultaneously because of vacations, but we made it work.  I enjoy working with my group and collaborating through WhatsApps.  I paired up with Ashely Brandes by phone when we started the program, and we added Leslie William during the spring semester.  We text each other at any hour of the day and night.  I was especially grateful for being a part of two groups this summer because Ashley, Leslie, and I worked so well together in 5317.  This group became key for success in 5317 because, in my blended learning plan, I am implementing student tracking of their reading to implement student ownership of their learning.   I had more time in the beginning and made a very detailed outline which made the rough draft easy for Leslie to work on, and Ashley made edits for the final draft.  We recorded our pitch video by zoom easily because of the script Leslie created.  My WhatsApp group consists of Alessa Berg, Taylor Burks, Desiree Masters, Tyra Price, and Jesse Dannin.  This group has been amazing and has given me much more confidence in myself and my projects.  Alessa asked if we could do a podcast, Let’s Talk Blended Learning, with her when she was in 5317 back in February.  I will still use it on my website because it is a good resource for educators to listen to if they want to hear from teachers and how they feel about implementing blended learning in their classrooms.  We had the best time talking about blended learning, and that was when I realized I wanted to stay with these ladies throughout the rest of the program.    In 5315, I collaborated with my WhatsApp group daily.  We all were on vacation at different times, and I am finishing everything two weeks early for my trip.  They all rallied and are getting their stuff done early so we could collaborate.  Desiree and I worked on our lit review together, giving each other feedforward and helping with citations.  I corrected the missing quotation marks on my literature review so I can post them on my webpage for 5315.  I enjoyed reading Action Research and found it helpful when creating my action research plan.  I’m excited to implement this plan and have data to hopefully prove positive change and growth happen when learners take ownership of their learning.  Blended learning using station rotations in reading will improve reading in 4th grade. In 5389, I created an online student course for the first six weeks of school to establish routines in reading and a PD course that allows teachers to learn through modeling how they will implement blended learning with station rotations for the first six weeks in reading.    I have revised all of my assignments and reflected on the revisions.   I completed all of the course readings, videos, and supporting resources.  My assignments have not been turned in late.  I contributed to my learning and the learning of my peers by participating in all work that was shared with me and most of the discussion posts.  My groups had more discussions on the modules within our apps than we did on the actual discussion board.  In addition, I posted in-depth posts with some research to support my thinking, ideas for upcoming assignments, and past projects that were also helpful and did so promptly so that others could respond to my posts.     My action research plan is to track student growth and engagement in reading, and that was what I did more research on for revisions to my lit review in 5315.  When thinking about a publication article that would be helpful for teachers, my group came up with this easily.  We shared simple steps and material to help students track their learning on ePortfolios if they didn’t want to build ePortfolios we shared documents we created for students to easily track their progress and how this creates ownership of learning.  For this assignment, I give myself a 90.    Publication Article Pitch video  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTyrfWRL3d0   Publication Article Final Draft-Publication   Lit Review Literature Review 5315 .edited    Action Research Plan Action Research Plan-Margie   I linked my previous projects because they were my inspiration for both classes this summer. 5318 Projects: Online Reading Course 5318 Usability Review (Responses)
